A string made of two wires welded together. The wires made of the same material, but the diameter of one wire is twice that of the other. They are subjected to a tension of $4.0$ N. Each of the thin wire has length $40$ cm and a linear mass density of $2.0$ g/m. The string is fixed at both end and vibrated in such a way that two anti-nodes are present, with the node between them being right at the weld (a) What is the frequency of vibration (b) How long is the thick wire?
